PRINCE Charles stunned a women’s group yesterday by asking for advice on being a grandfather.
The Prince of Wales listened to tips and praised his own gran, the Queen Mother, over tea with the Tuesday Ladies — formed in his honour.
At the meeting in Kenfig, Wales — marking the end of a week-long tour — Charles said: “Any tips on grandparenthood?”
Eileen Joseph, 74, said: “Spoil them — enjoy it.”
He replied: “The great thing is to encourage them. Show them things to take their interest.
“My grandmother did that, she was wonderful.”
Charles — who is due to become a grandparent a week today — added: “It’s important to create a bond when they are very young.”
Wills and Kate’s baby is due to be born at St Mary’s Hospital’s private Lindo wing in Paddington, Central London.
